As an online-first label (270 Thousand Instagram Followers), we operate with a lean, remote team while maintaining a strong presence in international markets.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and especially creative Fashion Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in premium womenswear and a deep understanding of our brand’s aesthetic. This role requires not only design excellence but also strong interpersonal skills to maintain and grow relationships with our European production partners.This is a remote-first position, though occasional travel within Europe (to meet with the team or suppliers) is expected.Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to the design and development of seasonal collections in alignment with the brand’s vision and quality standards.Collaborate closely with our European suppliers to co-develop new designs, refine silhouettes, and oversee sampling processes.Create detailed drawings, specification sheets, and production-ready documentation.Select and source high-quality fabrics and trims, with a focus on sustainability and longevity.Ensure fit consistency and garment quality through the prototyping and sampling stages.Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market trends relevant to contemporary luxury womenswear.Participate in regular remote team meetings and occasional in-person sessions in Europe.RequirementsMinimum of 4 years of experience as a fashion designer, preferably in the premium or luxury womenswear segment.Strong knowledge regarding fabrics and development of fabric.Ability to be creative, study the latest fashion trends, and bring the brands collection to the next level.Proven ability to co-develop and collaborate directly with suppliers and production partners.Strong portfolio showcasing relevant work that aligns with Marielle Stokkelaar’s aesthetic.Proficient in software tools for documentation and drawingsFluent in English, both written and spoken.Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fully remote environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience working with European manufacturers and sourcing partners.Knowledge of sustainable materials and ethical production practices.Background in working with direct-to-consumer (DTC) fashion brands is a plus.
