Manufacturing controller (for Breda & Riyadh PAY Perso sites)
Based in Breda Perso center with few travels per year to Saudi Arabia
– 1 or max 2 days week of remote working possible
– 3 days at least on site. Thales LR8 – Industrial Controller
– Reporting to PAY Manuf Controller and dotted line to Plant Manager’s (Breda and Riyadh)
Position Summary / Key Tasks
– Perform monthly closing and reporting for manufacturing responsibilities
– Prepare and review the accounting entries related to the manufacturing activity
– Calculation & maintenance of standard cost. In charge of COGS for the site
– Contribute to cost savings objectives
– Lead, prepare, present the budget & rolling forecast for manufacturing scope
– Variance analysis between actual and planned
– Validate industrial investment (ROI/Payback for Capex project)
– Support fixed assets management and check the depreciation amount
– Support inventory management and ensure the reliable inventory valuation
– Ad-hoc financial analysis and calculation
– Ensure compliance with Thales policies and internal controls requirements
– Providing information to external and internal auditors for manufacturing scope
– Participate in the development of the local policies, goals and long-range plans
Responsibilities
– Developing financial culture within Plant management
– Responsible for manufacturing monthly closing and reporting
– Leading, coordinating, and presenting yearly budget & manufacturing rolling forecast
– In charge of plant cost control, ensuring the reliable costing and the inventory valuation
– Ensuring application of Thales processes & policies
Education & Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in finance (or accounting),
– Knowledge of accounting principles, understanding of standard costing – nice to have 2-3 years controlling experience in manufacturing environment
– Effective communication skills
– Languages: English very good oral & written, Arabic would be advantage
– Strong analytical, mathematical and problem-solving abilities
– Excellent knowledge of Excel and working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
– Oracle knowledge is an advantage
