About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead initiatives within the Order to Cash (O2C) process, ensuring seamless integration and execution of EDI transactions across our global trading partners and internal systems.
This role is critical to optimizing how orders, shipments, and invoices flow between our organization and customers. The EDI Project Manager will drive efficiency, accuracy, and scalability in digital transactions while serving as the key liaison between business operations, IT, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead EDI Initiatives: Manage the full lifecycle of EDI projects
- O2C Process Management: Act as the subject matter expert for the Order to Cash process, ensuring data accuracy and consistency from order creation through billing and payment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Finance, and IT teams to align system capabilities with business needs.
- Trading Partner Integration: Coordinate with customers, logistics partners, and vendors to develop and maintain EDI connections that support end-to-end order fulfillment and invoicing.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve order accuracy, cycle time, and data visibility through enhanced EDI automation and standardization.
- Technical Coordination: Oversee mapping and implementation of key EDI transaction sets (850, 855, 856, 810, etc.); troubleshoot and resolve EDI and data integration issues.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain clear documentation of all integrations, business rules, and workflows; ensure adherence to trading partner and regulatory requirements.
- Performance Monitoring: Define and track KPIs to evaluate transaction success rates, order cycle efficiency, and EDI reliability.
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in EDI project management or order-to-cash operations.
- Strong understanding of EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT) and integration platforms.
- Proven knowledge of Order to Cash workflows, including order entry, fulfillment, invoicing, and payments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Familiarity with cloud-based EDI platforms (e.g., SPS Commerce, OpenText, Cleo, or similar).
- PMP or Agile project management certification.
- Experience working with major retail, distribution, or logistics partners.
